Ever wondered what a Chair of an Industry Body do in their roles? Why being a member of a Professional Association matters? And how can you contribute back to the engineering community? Looking for a casual networking opportunity? Come along to the CHEMECA19 Young Engineers Social Night!
We will be having a discussion with the Chairs of three major Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Associations including Engineers Australia, IChemE and RACI. The Chair members will give us insight into their roles in the organisation, and the impact it makes to the engineering communities. There will also be Q&A sessions about their personal career journey and the advices they can share with us students and early career engineers!

Chemeca 2019 will commence with a welcome reception at SMC Conference & Function Centre. The opening event will provide you with an opportunity to network with fellow delegates while enjoying drinks and canapes.

Chemeca 2019 Conference Dinner and Awards of Excellence in Chemical Engineering - 1 October
The Awards of Excellence in Chemical Engineering showcases outstanding achievement in the field of Chemical Engineering. IChemE, The Engineers Australia Chemical College, Engineering New Zealand and RACI, in partnership with corporate sponsors, have instituted these awards to encourage and recognise excellence and to highlight the contribution made to the community by Australian and New Zealand Chemical Engineers.
The conference dinner will take place at the heritage listed, Crystal Palace at Luna Park, which is situated on the Sydney Harbour foreshore and has been extensively refurbished and restored to its unique former glory. The Chemeca 2019 Conference Dinner and Awards of Excellence in Chemical Engineering will be one of the highlights of the conference.
